Welcome to theleanchurch.com! My name is Andrew Hunter and I have a passion for Jesus. I also have a passion for helping people find a healthy work life balance. While I am no a gifted evangalist, one place I am gifted however, is in the area of efficiency. You see, I'm what's called a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, which is basically an expert in the use and application of two of the most powerful process improvement techniques used by successful businesses today. I feel God calling me to help my Church in this area. Don't get me wrong, my Church is a vibrant and thriving body of Christ. But God wants his kindom to grow, and just like any organization, be it not-for-profit or for-profit, growth can be difficult. That's where Lean comes in, hence the name "The Lean Church".
The purpose of this website is to provide tools, techniques and PROVEN application of Lean in Church organizations. My vision is for all church operations to run efficiently and effectively, and in support of the great commission. My mission is to develop a system for church leaders to follow to achieve a lean and efficient church.
